The Pitch: Risk Assessment - Vivian

Location:

Due to our genre being youth drama, we have to film in urban areas, risks we may come across when filming in these areas is the safety of our equipment and props. Examples being, our camera and tripod. We can lower this risk by ensuring there is always more than one person with the equipment when out filming. We also chose the locations according to how safe they are so that the equipment are safe.

Cast & Crew:

Another problem we may encounter is if a member of the cast or crew are unable to make the shooting, this will be difficult to film having a cast member or crew unavailable to film. We can resolve this problem by ensuring that everyone is available to film on the day and if they cannot to reschedule it to another day. Moreover another solution to this is having an understudy.

Weather:

British weather is very unpredictable, this is a problem as we are handling expensive equipment and due to the unpredictable weather, it could rain at any moment and ruin the expensive equipment. Furthermore if we are filming the same scene but on a different day the lighting maybe be different due to the unpredictable weather. To over come this problem; we will bring an umbrella to ensure the equipment is dry at all times. Moreover we can resolve the issue of lighting by checking the weather forecast before the day of filming to see what days will have similar lighting's (ie. sunny days and gloomy days) .
