9- Who makes title sequences?

Who makes title sequences?

Title sequences are usually made by designers and some studios.

Famous title designers include, Kyle Cooper for 'Se7en'. Saul Bass 'Its A Mad Mad Mad World' and Stephen Frankfurt 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. Both 'Se7en' and 'To Kill A Mockingbird' are similar as they both fit under stylised and discrete type of title sequences, they foreshadow their main tones through the style of the writing and what images are under the writing.

The relationship between the designer and the director has to be strong in order to create a successful title sequence and to ensure both parties are happy with the outcome. Kyle Cooper explains that " Once we talked about the idea of shooting his books, then I would meet with Fincher and he would come up with ideas of what to shoot, and I would come up with shots and we'd compare notes and start making storyboards."
