Why is audience research important for production planning?
Audience research is carried out to find out the taste of your audience.
It is useful to target a particular audience and gain specific feedback to ensure the production is successful.
Audience research is primary research.
Research can be done through questionnaires

The target audience for teen dramas can either be for teens 12-18 or young adults 21-35 depending whether its high school or youth dramas
My results came back as people under the age 18 preferred films with strong language and violence, and the title sequences do have an impact on how they think the film would be.
