The main character from the title Zarina, was inspired by Poppy Moore from the film 'Wild Child'. The character, Poppy, portrays typical conventions of a rich and snobby teenager. She wears designer brands and looks glamorous throughout the film. Our character Zarina was influenced by Poppy Moore because of her costume and attitude. We wanted to challenge the typical stereotype of rich and snobby characters only being in high school drama's by putting a character as such in a youth drama.
Honey Trap
Honey trap inspired our film EndZ as it is has a similar storyline of a girl from a small town moving into the urban area. Moreover it is a youth drama with a female as a main character. Most youth drama's have a male as the main character and this contradicts the typical conventions of youth dramas. Our film differentiates from Honey trap as our film has less drama and violence than this film, it is less explicit.
Clueless - Cher (Costume)
Our costume will be inspired by Poppy from Wild child because of her glamorous style however because it is set in London we wanted create a costume to portray that it is a British film. We will do this by recreating Cher from clueless' famous costume of her tartan blazer and skirt.
